English:

A bent copper alloy Roman nail cleaner with High shoulders of Eckardt, H. and Crummy, N. 2008, 120, fig. 59 and Crummy 1983, Type 2a dating from the 1st to 2nd century AD. The cleaner is leaf shaped and gently tapers from rounded shoulders to a bifurcated tip. The suspension loop is oval and incomplete and lies in the same plane as the body of the object. Both sides of the cleaner are decorated with three dot-in-annulet motifs and a central groove runs from beneath these to the centre of the bifurcated tip.
