[edit]DescriptionN7-4 69621 at Sheringham station - geograph.org.uk - 1386725.jpg |
English: N7/4 69621 at Sheringham station The A.J.Hill designed 0-6-2T first appeared in 1915. Eventually twenty-two were GER built at Stratford, all superheated and all with right hand drive. They were scheduled for the intensive Liverpool Street suburban services. The LNER built many more, the class eventually totalling 134 in number. 69621, originally 999, was the last engine built at Stratford, ordered by the GER in 1921 and, finally, completed in 1924. 69621 was a Wood Street engine but finished her days working between Palace Gate and North Woolwich.
The locomotive is owned by the East Anglian Railway museum http://www.earm.co.uk/ but is resident at the NNR as the company paid for the overhaul. http://www.mandgn.co.uk/locos_steam_n7_outline.htm The coaches are the Quad art set described here 1386710 |
