Description

O Museu Nacional Resistência e Liberdade nasce do reconhecimento da Fortaleza de Peniche enquanto espaço-memória e símbolo maior da luta pela liberdade à escala nacional, com ressonâncias internacionais na luta ancestral e atual pela Democracia e pelo respeito dos Direitos Humanos.

De âmbito multidisciplinar, o Museu Nacional Resistência e Liberdade tem como missão investigar, preservar e comunicar a memória nacional relativa à Resistência ao regime fascista português, a partir das memórias e experiências daqueles e daquelas que lutaram pela Liberdade e pela Democracia.
