Description

Tanque ligero T-26B, conocido en España como "Vickers". Fabricado en la URSS a partir de 1933, 281 unidades de este tanque llegaron a España durante la Guerra Civil, entre octubre de 1936 y marzo de 1938, sirviendo inicialmente en el bando republicano. 150 tanques T-26B fueron usados por los republicanos en la Batalla de Brunete en julio de 1937, la mayor batalla de tanques de esa contienda. Algunos fueron capturados por el bando nacional. Al terminar la Guerra Civil quedaban 139 unidades en España, que siguieron en activo en el Ejército español hasta la llegada de material estadounidense más moderno en la década de 1950. En el museo se exhiben dos T-26B, uno con el esquema usado por el bando republicano y otro con el esquema usado por los tanques capturados por el bando nacional.

Armored Units Museum of El Goloso

Light tank T-26B, known in Spain as "Vickers". Made in the USSR from 1933, 281 units of this tank came to Spain during the Civil War, between October 1936 and March 1938, initially serving on the Republican side. 150 T-26B tanks were used by Republicans in the Battle of Brunete in July 1937, the greatest tank battle of the war. Some were captured by the national side. After the Civil War there were 139 units in Spain, which continued active in the Spanish Army until the arrival of modern American material in the 1950s. In the museum are displayed two T-26B, one with the schema used by the Republican side and other one with the schema used by tanks captured by the national side.
