Description Cette statue aurait été saisie sous la Révolution à Trianon pour le Louvre selon les premiers catalogues du musée et les minutes de l'inventaire de 1810, et non au « Château de Lucienne », c'est- à-dire dans la résidence de la comtesse du Barry, comme l'indique la version finale du document. Le masque comique antique ajouté par le restaurateur a entraîné une confusion entre cette figure de Thalie et « la Comédie» de Vassé qui se trouvait bien chez la favorite, laquelle ne possédait d'ailleurs aucune statue antique.
