| Description |
English: Mudflats near Ardoch. After passing over sand near the tip of an old fish yair, 1078407, I headed out further, but the sand had now given way to mudflats. The picture was taken at low tide, and the waterline was still quite a distance away, but it would not have been wise to venture out much further, especially given the consistency of the surface, and the speed at which the tide returns over the very shallow gradients of this shore. Instead, I headed to the north-west: 1078420.
In the background, the houses of Port Glasgow are visible on the far side of the River Clyde. Also taken from this spot: 1078468. |
