English: Sgt. Christopher Hatton, forward observer assigned to 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, ‘Top Guns’, currently attached to 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, provides security April 1, in an orchard outside Tarok Koloache village in Arghandab District. Hatton, a native of Livingston, Texas, was part of a security detail allowing travelers and residents of Tarok Kolache to safely attend a mosque opening ceremony in the village. The mosque is the first completed structure in a massive joint reconstruction effort by Tarok Kolache landowners and International Security Assistance Forces since the village, previously a Taliban stronghold, was destroyed Oct. 2010, in an effort to rid it of insurgents and large quantities of improvised explosive devices. |
