Festival « Art Souterrain », édition 2020. Type : Video. Zone : Palais des congrès de Montréal. Description de l'œuvre : Faisant un parallèle historique direct avec la « tulip-mania » des Pays-Bas et en Europe dans les années 1630, le projet Mosaic Virus se base sur la spéculation actuellement autour des crypto-monnaies. Les tulipes en fleurs, telle une version contemporaine des natures mortes néerlandaises, dont l’apparence est contrôlée par un algorithme influencé par le cours du bitcoin. «Mosaic» est le nom du virus qui provoque les rayures des pétales, augmentant sa désirabilité par sa rareté, contribuant à provoquer une spéculation sur les prix. Dans cette pièce, les rayures varient avec la valeur du bitcoin. Commissaire : Juliette Bibasse Biographie - Anna Ridler : Anna Ridler est une artiste et chercheuse britannique qui vit et travaille à Londres. Elle est diplômée du Royal College of Art de l’Université d’Oxford et de l’Université des Arts de Londres et a obtenu une bourse au Creative Computing Institute de l’UAL. Elle a exposé dans de nombreuses institutions culturelles et galeries, notamment le Barbican, HeK Basel, Ars Electronica, Tate Modern et le V&A. Elle a été classée par Artnet parmi les neuf «artistes pionniers» explorant le potentiel créatif de l’intelligence artificielle et a reçu une mention honorifique dans le prix Ars Electronica Golden Nica 2019 pour la catégorie AI & Life Art.
