Italiano: Monumento al marinaio d'Italia che celebra i caduti della prima guerra mondiale, inaugurato il 4 novembre del 1933 alla presenza del re Vittorio Emanuele III. Edificato nel 1933, da allora definisce lo skyline della città di Brindisi, e da cui si gode di un bel panorama. Realizzato a forma di timone, il monumento è alto 54 metri e resta accessibile al suo interno per poterne raggiungere la sommità da cui godere di una suggestiva visione del porto e della città. Ci sono dei giardini intorno, un bar e un piccolo parco giochi per bambini.
English: Monument to the Italian sailor that celebrates the fallen of the First World War, inaugurated on November 4, 1933 in the presence of King Vittorio Emanuele III. Built in 1933, since then it has defined the skyline of the city of Brindisi, and from which you can enjoy a beautiful panorama. Made in the shape of a rudder, the monument is 54 meters high and remains accessible inside to be able to reach the top from which to enjoy a suggestive view of the port and the city. There are gardens around, a bar and a small playground for children. |
