Description
Italiano: Il 10 giugno 1923, in piazza Plebiscito di Muro Lucano, oggi don Miinzoni, fu inaugurato il monumento ai caduti della prima guerra mondiale (1915/18). Il monumento è opera dello scultore napoletano Saverio Gatto (Reggo C. 1877 - Napoli 1959). Gruppo statuario in bronzo, ha la larghezza massima di m.1,13 e l'altezza massima di m. 1,54. Il cordolo di base è in pietra vulcanica, come la base. Il raccordo è in marmo.

I soldati di Muro che combatterono e morirono sul campo dell'onore e che furono medagliati per i loro atti di eroismo, sono: Michele Cerone, Antonio Lisanti, Pietro Perillo, Enzo Petraccone, Giovanni Pepe e Gerardo Trotta. I primi quattro ricevettero la medaglia d'argento, gli altri due di bronzo.
