Description
English: On September, 11th, 1854 the out-of-date Russian ships have been flooded. Thus access to the Sevastopol bay to enemy fleet has been blocked. This dramatic situation is part of defence of Sevastopol (1854–1855). The Monument to Flooded ships has been built in 1905.
Русский: 11 сентября 1854 года были затоплены устаревшие российские корабли, которые таким образом перекрыли доступ в Севастопольскую бухту неприятелю. Этот драматический момент является частью обороны Севастополя (1854–1855). Монумент сооружен в 1905 году.
