Description
Français : Tout autour de l'édifice un larmier en larges dalles de pierre empêche la montée des rats.

Face à l'orifice d'entrée une grande dalle favorisait l'envol des pigeons. L'entrée est orientée au sud. Elle a perdu sa dalle avec 9 orifices circulaires (représentés en 1841 dans la lithographie de JJB Laurens). Leur nombre témoignait de l'importante superficie en céréales du domaine de Lavalette.

Les murs latéraux au-dessus du versant de la toiture sont typiques de l'architecture languedocienne des colombiers sous l'Ancien-Régime.
