| Description |
English: American & Chinese World War II Memorial at the Monterey Park Civic Center. It does not directly accuse any particular nations, but it is obvious from the list of "Important Events" where some of the "aggression" came from. "Victory in Japan" corresponds to "戰勝日本帝國" ("Victory Against the Japanese Empire") in Chinese. The Chinese version of the list also mentions Germany ("德") and Italy ("意"), corresponding to "Europe" in the English version. Hopefully, we can deduce from the Japanese cherry blossoms in the background that the past is behind us and we are all friends now. The building across the street (S. Ramona Avenue) is the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library (Monterey Park Library). 日本語: 第二次世界大戰 中美軍民合作記念碑 (第二次世界大戦 米中軍人・民間人合同記念碑) - カリフォルニア州モントレーパークの市民センター。碑文では特定の国を名指しで非難していないが、「重要事件」リストには南京大虐殺、真珠湾奇襲などが並び、最後に「戰勝德意两國」「戰勝日本帝國」と書かれている。「德」はドイツ、「意」はイタリアを指す。後方で咲いているのはサクラの花。通り (S.
