English: This photo shows the entrance gate.
Mohatta Palace is marvelous place among cultural heritage in Karachi. I visited here with my sister, who was not well but came for my company. A group of school children were playing in the garden. The kids & other school staff were here today for an educational & entertainment trip. They also visited the museum present inside the palace building. This museum is mostly about the maps..a very good collection of ancient maps. During casual chat with the guides I suggested that all these maps can be copied & sold to the visitors in nominal rates as souvenirs; this can preserve these maps in reality; at the map collectors' homes. And the knowledge can be spread instead of holding it.. There is also a section in the museum called Kashmir gallery. The museum was cool due to central air conditioning. Day was very hot but we somehow forced ourselves to complete the trip.
