Description
English: Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition Sean Stackley speaks about the importance of Mobile Landing Platform (MLP 2) John Glenn to the Navy-Marine Corps team during the ship's christening ceremony. The ship who's namesake is in honor of U.S. senator, astronaut and Marine Corps pilot John Glenn represents the newest platform in Navy-Marine Corps integration that will enable sailors and Marines to be where it matters, when it matters for amphibious operations or humanitarian and disaster relief efforts among other roles.
