English: Moat of former Little Saxham Hall. This is the southern arm of the complex moats around the site of the medieval hall, demolished in 1772. The Hall was the venue for masques and much merrymaking when it was owned by Baron Crofts and visited on a number of occasions by King Charles II, following his attendance at Newmarket racecourse. |
