English: Crop from Ravenstein's map of Frankfurt am Main, 1862, showing an area in southeastern Old City, around Judenmarkt (Jew's Market), today Börneplatz. North of it is Judengasse (Jew's Lane), northeast is the medevial Jewish Cemetery, southeast the rectangular grid of Fischerfeldviertel. In the northwest you see Dominikanerkloster (Dominican's monastery), divided from Judengasse by the Staufenmauer (12th century city wall), note the circular shape of Mönchsturm (Monk's tower). South of the church is Compostell, a former hospice for St. James' Way pilgrims, later used by the jewish community. Only the monastery church and the Jewish Cemetery survived until today in modern Frankfurt.
