Description
English: Two views of a Mark-19 8-inch projectile found at the Former Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook, New Jersey, on 1 November 2017. The projectile was found underground near the historical firing point by contractors working for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and was demilitarized in place prior to these photographs. Note 2-inch scale bar on knife in foreground.
This item is pictured in FINAL MMRP REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION ADDENDUM #3 REPORT FORT HANCOCK FORMERLY USED DEFENSE SITE MONMOUTH COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, November 2018, Appendix G (photo log), photos 16 and 18, where it is listed being found on a trail near parking lot J, and as anomaly 512.
