English: Mitzraf HaAvoda – Debate Between Chassidim and Mitnagdim, with Letter from the Baal HaTanya – Königsberg, 1858 – First Edition.
עברית: ספר מצרף העבודה, "הוא ויכוח אשר היה זה כשבעים ושתים שנה בין שני גדולי הדור, האחד מעדת החסידים והשני מעדת המנגדים...", עם מכתב מאת רבי שניאור זלמן מלאדי [בעניין הויכוח עם הגר"א], [מאת רבי יעקב קאדאניר]. קניגסברג, [תרי"ח 1858].

כידוע, ה"ויכוח" בין החסיד למתנגד, המתואר בספר בהרחבה, לא התקיים במציאות, והוא נכתב כולו על ידי חסיד חב"ד בשם רבי יעקב קאדאניר על מנת להצדיק את שיטת החסידות.

בסוף הספר נדפס לראשונה מכתב חריף מאת האדמו"ר הזקן רבי שניאור זלמן מלאדי על רצונו להתווכח עם הגר"א. היו חוקרים שטענו כי המכתב מזוייף, וכשם שה"ויכוח" שבספר לא התקיים מעולם, כך גם המכתב לא נכתב מעולם. אך למעשה המכתב כבר הופיע קודם לכן בהעתקות שנעשו כבר בחיי האדמו"ר הזקן, וספר זה אינו המקור הראשון לאגרת זו (ראה: אגרות קודש מאת כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן, תשע"ב, עמ' קפא).
