MS 537/6 "On the changes of the Moon" from "Miscellanea Medica VII" (1462)

Summary Practica medicinae in English. Preceded by short anonymous tracts on medical astrology and weather prediction in Latin, and a 'Seeing of urines' in English: followed by an astrological table, table of Golden Numbers, etc. With a few medical receipts in English. Written by the same hand throughout: 17-22 lines to a page. There are illuminated initials in gold and colours, with marginal decoration on ff. 74v, 105, 120, 129, 133, 138, 146v, 162, 184, 194, 210, 221, 252v, 275v, 300, 305v: other initials in blue with marginal decorations in red: paragraph marks in red, headings within red rules. The Tables at the end are in red and black. The Latin portions of the MS., and the work on Urines are by different but contemporary current English hands. Ff. 1-5 Blank.
