Description
English: Petty Officer 2nd Class Tywan Ballard, an aviation electronics technician, hands out Manga comic books to children attending the 62nd Annual Sapporo Snow Festival. Ballard and other members of the Misawa Navy Snow Team are in Sapporo representing their commands at Naval Air Facility Misawa, Japan. This is the 28th year the base sent a team to the northern Japanese city to create a snow sculpture and interact with the local populace. The Mangas commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan.
