Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Mimetite
Locality: Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Municipio de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: miniature, 5.5 x 5.5 x 1.25
Mimetite
A superb specimen of the best color, and lustre, for this find - and in a perfect large miniature size. This crust of matrix is totally covered by botryoids, to.7 cm acoss of velvety, rich green mimetite. There are a few scattered glassy and translucent, amber-colored wulfenite crystals as accent but it is first and foremost a mimetite specimen and....one of my favorites of the whole lot. Priced at a premium, to others here, but worth it to my eye.
