Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Historic buildings of Milówka. The redeveloped old district court house building (Sąd Powiatowy) still stands today beside the Hotel Beskid and opposite the Notary's Office which was once the tax office (Urzad Podatkowy). Józef Kusionowicz, brother of Andrzej, practiced as Notary in Milówka from around 1874 until he moved to Niepołomice in 1893. During his stay in Milówka Józef's wife Aniela (nee Federowicz) gave birth to three sons, Jerzy (pl) who became one of the founders of the Boy Scout movement in Poland, Tadeusz and Jan Kanty. The distinctive shape of the old school building is still reflected in the current building which today serves as the district tourist information office.
