Miller Mausoleum, Craigentinny Crescent

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Miller Mausoleum, Craigentinny Crescent. The mausoleum, designed by David Rhind in the style of a tombstone on the ancient Appian Way, south of Rome, was completed in 1856 for the tomb of William Henry Miller MP, owner of Craigentinny House, who died in 1848. It has become known locally as "the Craigentinny Marbles" because of its elaborately sculpted panels depicting scenes from the Bible. http://members.fortunecity.com/gillonj/thecraigentinnymarbles/ 1606993
