Summary

[edit]
Description
English: c/n 2035.

Built in 1940 by Phillips and Powis Aircraft Ltd and delivered to No.9 Maintenance Unit at RAF Cosford on 23rd June that year. Transferred to RAF Wyton in December 1940 and also served with 15EFTS at Kingstown, 7FTS at Upavon and as a hack at 10 Air Gunnery School at Barrow until May 1944. After this she was stored and then sold. She became G-AIUA in November 1946 and flew with a variety of Flying Schools and private owners untl being declared as withdrawn from use in March 1973, although it is likely that her last flight was long before that. In November 1977 she was registered to the Shuttleworth Collection, presumably as a spares source for their airworthy example G-AJRS, but was sold on to a private owner in 1987. Some components were then used in the rebuild of G-AKPF, which now flies as N3388. The remaining selection of components, largely from G-AIUA joined this collection in 2003.
