[edit]DescriptionMihrab by Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Tahir, May 1265 CE.jpg |
English: ‘Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Tahir created this mihrab, signing the finished work in Sha'ban AH 663 (May 1265 CE). The work was created in Kashan, Iran for a shrine at the tomb of Imamzada Yayha in Veramin, Iran. This work was removed from the shrine and later acquired by Doris Duke, who installed it in her home in Honolulu called Shangri La. The information about the creator, date, and geographic locations are from a plaque on the wall opposite the mihrab. |
