English: Midland Railway Centre, Swanwick Junction. The two steam locomotives standing by the Matthew Kirtley Museum, are Class 3F 47357, which is undergoing a ten-yearly overhaul, and Class 9F 92219, which is in the same condition as it was when stored at Barry Scrapyard - https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/659032 293168
92219 is quite likely to end up as a source for spares, unless someone is prepared to throw some time and money at it. There is also a steam locomotive boiler sandwiched between these two and it looks like it belongs to another 3F. |
