English: Middlewich Junction, Trent and Mersey Canal (1) A full-length narrow boat has just made the sharp turn under the roving bridge with the intention of ascending Wardle Lock onto the Middlewich Branch. The roving bridge is actually numbered 168 although it is not on the main line. The view is looking southwards down the Trant and Mersey, with the 'Kings Lock' pub. prominent on the far bank. The white-painted bridge visible next to it is Bridge 167. |
