| Description |
English: St. Michael statue over the gate of the church of the Assumption in Siemiatycze, Poland. Originally the statue was over one of the gates of the town hall but was moved here in 1863 when Russians burned the town hall during the January Uprising. The town hall wast finally destroyed by Germans in 1941. [1]
Polski: Figura św. Michała Archanioła na bramie kościoła pw. Wniebowzięcia NMP w Siemiatyczach. Pierwotnie posąg znajdował się nad jedną z bram ratusza, ale został przeniesiony tutaj w 1863 roku, gdy Rosjanie spalili ratusz podczas powstania styczniowego. Ostatecznie ratusz został zniszczony przez Niemców w 1941 roku. [2] |
