Summary
[edit]DescriptionMiG-23UB open-air display at the Museum of Aviation in Košice 03.jpg |
English: Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23UB jet fighter-bomber displayed at the Museum of Aviation in Košice, Slovakia. Manufactured by the Soviet aviation company Mikoyan-Gurevich between 1967 and 1985, it was part of the inventory of many countries' air forces, especially those of the former East Block (as well as of a few Middle Eastern states, African states and Cuba). The preserved specimen shown here is a former Czech Air Force MiG-23UB, a two-seater training variant of the aircraft. After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia on the 1st January 1993, the Czech Air Force inherited all of Czechoslovakia's MiG-23s, and eventually retired the last of its MiG-23s (including UB variants) in 1998. (The Slovak Air Force never operated MiG-23s.) The aircraft's NATO reporting name is "Flogger".
Slovenčina: Prúdové stíhacie-bombardovacie lietadlo Mikojan-Gurevič MiG-23UB, vystavené v Múzeu letectva v Košiciach, Slovensko. Vyrábané sovietskou spoločnosťou Mikojan-Gurevič v rokoch 1967-1985, bolo súčasťou vzdušných síl mnohých štátov, najmä bývalého východného bloku (ale tiež aj niekoľkých blízkovýchodných štátov, afrických štátov a Kuby). Tu vystavený zachovaný exemplár je bývalý MiG-23UB Vzdušných síl Českej republiky, dvojsedadlový cvičný variant lietadla. Po rozdelení Československa 1. januára 1993 zdedili Vzdušné sily Českej republiky všetky MiG-23 bývalého Československa, a neskôr vyradili zo služby svoje posledné MiG-23 (vrátane variantov UB) v roku 1998. (Vzdušné sily Slovenskej republiky nikdy neprevádzkovali MiG-23.) Kódové označenie NATO pre lietadlo je "Flogger". |
