Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bridge on the Meridian Highway in Pierce County, Nebraska; seen from the south. The bridge now carries county road 552 across the North Fork of the Elkhorn River. It is part of a 4.5-mile (7.2 km) segment of the highway that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge was constructed in 1915 by the Canton Bridge Company; it features Warren pony trusses. The green cylindrical structure with the conical top at right is part of a USGS stream gaging station, no longer in use.
