| Description |
English: This firetruck was captured by the Germans during WW2 and used in the Cologne fires of 1944 and 1945. It went back into service in Assen from 31st of July 1945 and was used until 30th of June 1965 by the Fire department. Since 1983 it is owned by the voluntary firebrigade and fully restored to its present condition. It now has its own honorary spot in the building of the Assen fire department.
Engine: Mercedes Benz 6 cyllinder, 2214cc. Weight: 3400kg Loading capacity: 2000kg Original (1941) cost: 12280 guilders of which 50% was subsidized by the Dutch government. |
