Summary
[edit]DescriptionMemorial Plaque - geograph.org.uk - 666366.jpg |
English: Memorial Plaque This stone set into the wall that once carried the Bridge (Wrexham -Ellesemere Railway) over Vicarage Hill, Wrexham, is dedicated to Bishop Heber, missionary clergyman who was born in Malpas, Cheshire 1783. He wrote several hymns, one of which, his missionary hymn, he penned whilst staying at the former vicarage which was near to this spot. The building was probably sacrificed to make way for the new railway. |
