English: Skeletal formula of meldonium (trade name Mildronate) — a structural γ-butyrobetaine (carnitine precursor) analog used in Russia and several other countries as part of a complex treatment regimen of coronary artery disease, heart failure and cerebrovascular diseases. It is also indicated in excessive mental or physical strain, asthenia, alcohol withdrawal syndrome and several eye disorders (such as retinopathy).[1] Carbon atom labels are shown.
