Description
English: The picture is a Greek Catholic icon depicting the scene of the Meeting of Abraham and Melchizedek, the king of Jerusalem. The icon was painted in the end of the 18th century as part of the iconostasis of the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Hajdúdorog, Hungary. This icon is among the four smallest one from the iconostasis as it decorates the Royal Door of the icon-wall. It is placed on the top of the right side of the Royal Door.
Magyar: A kép azt a jelenetet ábrázolja, amikor Melkhizedek, Jeruzsálem királya fogadja Ábrahámot. Az ikont a 18. század végén festették, a hajdúdorogi görög katolikus székesegyház ikonosztázára. Ez az ikon egyike az ikonosztáz négy legkisebb képének, amelyek a képfal Királyi Kapuját díszítik. Izsák feláldozása a kapu jobb szárnyán, felül látható.
