Chris Finch, aid to the General, meet with Aric Almirola, driver of the No. 43 Smithfield Ford from Richard Petty Motorsports at Watkins Glen on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Almirola the No. 43 Ford was also partially sponsored by the U.S. Air Force which is featured on the car and Almirola’s drivers suit 2 races out of the season. The U.S. Air Force is currently the only branch sponsoring a car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Gorenc was at Watkins Glen as an honored guest of NASCAR for the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen where he would be swearing in new Air Force Recruits before the start of the race. |
