Title
Medieval strap fitting: strap fitting
Description
English: A cast copper alloy strap fitting, probably dating to the later medieval or early post-medieval period. The strap fitting has a roughly rectangular frame with a integral pin bar set off-centre of the frame. The strap fitting has an expanded outer edge on one side, which has three grooves, one of which probably functioned as the pin rest. There is no other decoration. c. AD 1400-1600.
