Title
Medieval shield shaped mount
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy shield shaped mount. The mount is flat and has a recessed decoration in the centre in the form of a rampant lion left. There is no enamel remaining in the recesses. On the left hand side of the mount there are two integral broken lugs, which would have wrapped above and below the mount to form the arms to hold a pin. The surface of the mount has been gilded.
