Title
Medieval harness mount: Shield shaped mount
Description
English: A cast copper alloy medieval heraldic harness mount or stud, probably dating from the 13th or 14th century AD. The mount is shield shapes and has a long integrally cast shank on the reverse, for insertion into leather strap or similar. The design on the face of the shield is too worn for identification.
