Description
English: A Medieval hammered silver cut quarter penny of Henry 2nd c.1154-89 (probably class 1c) The obverse has only the inscription letters VS visible. The reverse has four pellets and an initial mark of a cross pattee followed by the inscription letters RI. This will be the moneyer RICARD of either the Oxford or Winchester mints.
