Medieval buckle: Annular buckle
Description
English: A cast copper alloy annular buckle, plain and undecorated. The buckle has a copper alloy pin (intact) is made from a sheet of copper and is simply flattened at one end and looped around the buckle, with no restriction of movement around the buckle. This is a small buckle and may have been used to fasten a shoe or possibly child's garments. It dates to the Medieval period, c. AD 1250-1450.
