Medieval bar mount
Description
English: A medieval copper alloy bar mount dating to c AD 1350-1400. The mount comprises a central circular section pierced with a hole with short flat rectangular sections extending at opposite sides which terminate in a circular lobes each with a rivet hole. One of the rivets, which appears to be made of copper alloy, remains and extends through the back of the mount. The mount weighs 1.53g and measures 23.83mm in length. 8.49mm in width and 3.23mm in thickness.
