Title
Medieval bar mount
Description
English: A copper-alloy medieval bar mount dating to the period c. AD 1350 - 1400. The mount is hemispherical in cross-section. The central lobe is circular, concave to the reverse and domed to the front and features a band of four horizontal grooves tapering together and with a design of cross hatched grooves. At either end of the central lobe is a circular lobe with a centrally located rivet, both rivets remain. The mount is similar in design to one seen in Brian Read, 2001, pp. 23, nos.151.

The mount measures 22.45mm in length, 9.95mm wide, 4.65mm thick and weighs 1.75 grams.
