Title
Medieval Cooking Vessel Leg (front view)
Description
English: The object is a leg from a cast copper alloy vessel which is thought to date to the 13th to 17th centuries AD. The rest of the object is missing.

In plan the object is sub-rectangular with an uneven upper edge where the object has broken away from the now missing vessel. The sides of the leg are straight, flaring out at the base to the now missing foot. In cross-section the object is sub-triangular, with a flat reverse and a single median rib, approximately 11.0mm wide, which runs longitudinally down the front of the leg. The leg is dark grey-green in colour, and is in a poor condition due to heavy abrasion. The leg is 68.9mm at its longest point, 50.8mm at its widest point, 21.4mm thick at the leg.
