Medieval Bar Mount
Description
English: A very small medieval copper alloy bar mount, dating to the 1350-1400. The mount is D-shaped in cross-section, with a central oval lobe and two small circular terminal lobes. All three lobes are hollowed to the reverse. Each terminal lobe has a central rivet hole with one retaining a copper alloy rivet. The upper surface of the central lobe is decorated with cross-hatching. The mount measures 13.2mm in length, 5.9mm in width, is 2.35mm thick and weighs 0.49g.
