Title
Medieval Bar Mount
Description
English: Medieval cast copper alloy bar mount with central and terminal lobes. The mount is 'D' shaped in cross section, which widens out at the centre to encompass a moulded design. The central lobe is decorated with three narrow and rectangular angled projections radiating out from the centre on the two longer sides of the lobe. There are two vertical grooves either side of the central moulding. The mount has two flattened terminals, each containing a circular rivet hole. One terminal is circular, the other is hexagonal with inwardly curving sides. The reverse of the mount is flat and undecorated. It has a mid green patina. It is 23.92mm long, 8.06mm wide and 3.9mm thick.
