Notes | 1914-15 Star, WW1 Awarded to Lieut. W.H. Key-Jones, West Riding Regiment. Medal awarded to Captain William Henry Key-Jones, (West Riding Regiment). William Henry Key-Jones was an officer in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment. He was wounded during the 2nd battle of Ypres. In 1918 William married Elaine Florence Buchanan, at St Margarets, Westminster. Elaine was the duaghter of Archibald Buchanan of Remuera, and when the war ended the couple came to live in Auckland New Zealand. He died in Auckland in 1832 aged 51 years. According to his obituary Captain Key-Jones was a member of the Auckland Officers; Club and took an active interest in cadet training. Auckland Star, 10 September 1932 and New Zealand Herald 12 September 1932. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
