Notes | Pacific Star, WW2 Awarded to Oscar Weldon Carter, Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve, WW2 Lieutenant Commander Oscar Weldon Carter, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, WW1 and RNZN Volunteer Reserve, WW2 Oscar Carter of Devonport Auckland enlisted as a sub-lieutenant with the Royal Naval Auxiliary Patrol (Motor Boat Service) of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve and embarked aboard Demosthenes in December 1916. He remained in service until May 1919 and received the British War Medal and Victory medal. During WW2 he enlisted with the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve and received the Pacific Campaign Star, War Medal 1939-45 and the New Zealand Service Medal. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
