Notes | Victory Medal, with MID oak leaf emblem, awarded to Major Keith R Park, RAF WW1 (clasp missing) Following his service on Gallipoli with the NZ Field Artillery and the BEF Keith Park was posted to the Western Front serving on the Somme and finally at Ypres where he was wounded. In 1917 Park transferred to the Royal Flying Corps and as a pilot (48 Squadron) he experienced aerial combat and observation at first-hand over the Western Front. He proved himself to be brave and skilful, and in 1918 earned his first independent command. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
