Summary
[edit]DescriptionMeccano Hornby dublo model railway controller workings.jpg | An old Meccano/Hornby dublo model railway controller bares its secrets in my workshop. This old unit will probably not be used anymore as much work is required to bring it up to safe standards. For example the mains cable rubber insulation has probably broken down, The shellac transformer coating can get cracked easily at this age and finally the rectifier tends to fail after emitting noxios fumes. About the only useable items are the rheostat and overload cutout! But just look at the massive over engineered build quality . . . . |
